Keith M. Taylor, FRGS, MStJ
Mr. Taylor founded what is now The Soldiers Fund in 2007. He was commissioned into the British Army and in 1951 served in Korea. Following his tour of Korea, Keith served with the Parachute Regiment (Territorial Army) for 3 years and was privileged to carry the Regimental Color at the Coronation of HM The Queen in 1953. Following his military career he enjoyed 20 years in the global automotive components manufacturing industry followed by 20 years as a management consultant, working principally on major projects for the British Government.
His home is in Ilminster, Somerset from where he travels extensively, researching books which he self publishes. He has travelled worldwide, ranging from a Roosevelt Travelling Scholarship in the United States to 2 journeys on the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing. He has shot game in a number of countries including Mongolia and is a keen chorister having sung in choirs in Westminster Abbey, Hong Kong Cathedral and tiny parish churches in England. He has 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren all of whom live in the UK.
