Michael Schindel

Mr. Schindel is an American currently living in Bermuda with his wife and young daughter, where he works in the Island’s vibrant financial services sector as a reinsurance underwriter. Michael moved to Bermuda in early 2009, previously having lived in Colorado and Florida.

 Michael studied at the Florida Institute of Technology, in Melbourne, Florida and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in 2003. While pursuing his degree, Michael took flying lessons and eventually earned his Airline Transport Pilot certificate, the highest license available in civilian aviation. He also became an FAA Certified Flight Instructor and worked as an Instructor while attending University. Michael keeps his license current and still occasionally teaches for pleasure in Bermuda.

Michael is also an avid triathlete, participating in multiple sprint distances races and the occasional Half Ironman.

 Invited to join the Board of The Soldiers Fund in 2015, Michael looks forward to raising awareness and funds for an enormously deserving cause.
