Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

The Soldiers Fund provided a grant to benefit a 5-year-old boy named Jesse who was undergoing treatment for neuroblastoma. Jesse’s father is an active duty US Marine. The grant allowed Jesse’s family to travel from their home in Chatham, Massachusetts to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Jesse had a once in a lifetime experience, which "made him feel free from his daily struggles at home."
