The Old North Church

At the Old North Church, the location from which the famous "One if by land, two if by sea" signal is said to have been sent, stands a memorial that pays tribute to all U.S. lives lost during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists a year, the Church wanted to bring greater attention to the memorial and its significance by installing a bronze plaque to educate visitors of the memorials meaning.

The Soldiers Fund was approached by the Church to provide a grant to pay for the plaque. Additionally, the Church invited the Soldiers Fund to install a bronze poppy wreath to recognize British and Commonwealth lives lost in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
